Comments on stroke

The breathing cycle involves inhaling on the recovery of one arm and exhaling on recover of the other arm.

If breathing is shallow (not enough air is taken in during inhalation), the power output of the arm action is reduced.

Analysis of model stroke

Breathing

The breathing cycle is explosive with inhalation on the recovery of one arm and exhalation taking place on the recovery of the opposite arm. There are six kicks to one complete arm cycle with continuity of arm and leg movements.
